According to the author, Fuman Micro cut into the RF front-end track from the power IC mainly through the technical support of Hangzhou Lingxin Microelectronics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Lingxin Microelectronics").
On September 28 last year, Fuman Micro and Hangzhou Lingxin Microelectronics signed the Agreement on Cooperative Investment and Operation of 5G Projects in Shenzhen, and jointly invested 30 million yuan to establish Shanghai Yingsi Microelectronics Co., Ltd. Among them, Fuman WeChat contributed 21 million yuan, accounting for 70% of the registered capital; Lingxin Microelectronics contributed 9 million yuan based on intellectual property rights, accounting for 30% of the registered capital. The project company is mainly committed to the design and development of 5G RF series chip products. RF front-end chip is the core component of RF chip, including power amplifier (PA), low noise amplifier (LNA), antenna switch, filter, duplexer, etc.
However, information shows that Lingxin Microelectronics was only established in 2018, and the company is still small. However, it may be doubtful that Fuman Micro claims that the company's WiFi6 R&D team is the first senior person engaged in GaAs WiFi RF front-end design in China.
